Tragic Accident: 5-Year-Old Girl Buried in Sand at Florida Beach Dies

A young girl died and her brother was hospitalized after they fell into a hole they had dug in the sand at a beach in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida. The children, on vacation from Indiana, were trapped while digging the hole, and despite efforts to rescue them, the girl did not survive. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation by the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
