Mystery Surrounds Deaths of American Couple at Mexico Luxury Resort

A couple from Southern California, John Heathco and Abby Lutz, were found dead in their luxury hotel room in Mexico's Baja California peninsula. The couple had gone to the hospital because they thought they had food poisoning, but their suspected cause of death was inhalation of gas due to improper venting of the resort, which could be carbon monoxide poisoning. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to bring Abby home for a proper funeral. There have been several cases of such deaths in Mexico due to poisoning by carbon monoxide or other gases.
