Wrong-Way Crashes Claim Lives of New Father, Teen, and High School Sophomore

A 67-year-old woman and a 16-year-old new father were identified as the victims of a fatal wrong-way collision on Interstate 5 in Chula Vista. Eileen Crawford, driving a Honda Civic, entered the southbound lanes and collided with a Dodge Challenger driven by Ryder Shoup, who attended Mar Vista High School. The cause of the crash is undetermined, and a toxicology report is pending. Both drivers died at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
