Tragic I-275 Bridge Crash Claims Mother's Life

Cheryl Kidwell, a 32-year-old mother from Brooksville, Kentucky, was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Eastbound I-275 in Wilder, Kentucky. The crash occurred when vehicles slowed down due to heavy traffic near the AA Highway ramp, causing multiple vehicles to collide on the Licking River bridge. A semi-truck involved in the collision overturned and slid on its side. Kidwell's pickup was pushed over the bridge and landed in a wooded area below, resulting in her death. Four other individuals were injured but are expected to recover. The crash is under investigation by the Wilder Police Department and the Campbell County Specialist Response Team. Repairs to the bridge are needed and expected to be completed by November 8th.
