Fatal Hit-and-Run on Watterson Expressway Leaves Man Dead

A man died after being struck by a car on the Watterson Expressway near the 3rd Street exit ramp. The man had pulled over on the shoulder of the westbound lane and was attempting to get back into his car when he was hit by another vehicle traveling in the same direction. The driver of the second vehicle stopped, called for help, and remained at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The incident caused significant traffic delays in the area.
