Tragic loss strikes Southwestern Community College's athletic community

Students at Southwestern Community College held a memorial vigil to honor the life of Madalynn Stewart, a 19-year-old student-athlete who died from injuries sustained in a car crash. Stewart, who was a member of the women's basketball team and dance team, was remembered fondly by coaches, friends, and faculty members. The community is coming together to support one another during this difficult time, with pastors and counselors providing assistance. Stewart's visitation and funeral will take place in August.
