Fishermen sentenced to jail time for cheating in Lake Erie tournament.

Two fishermen who cheated in an Ohio fishing tournament by stuffing fish with lead weights and fillets were sentenced to 10-day jail terms and probation for a year and a half. They pleaded guilty to cheating and unlawful ownership of wild animals and agreed to three-year suspensions of their fishing licenses. They were also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and donate $1,250 each to a nonprofit organization that promotes fishing with children. The men would have received over $28,000 in prizes for winning the tournament.
