The 50th annual RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) showcased the best of Iowa as thousands of cyclists embarked on a 500-mile journey across the state, battling hills and heat. Towns along the route prepared to entertain the riders, providing rest stops, food, and cooling stations. Despite the challenges, the event brought fun and camaraderie to small towns, with participants enjoying attractions like slip and slides and mouth-watering meals. The ride ended in Davenport after passing through Carroll, Ames, and Des Moines, among other towns.
