RAGBRAI 51's route will pass through deeply rural south Iowa, with eight first-time towns and a second visit to the Des Moines metro, offering day passes and optional gravel sections on all seven days. The route will cover 434 miles with a record 18,375 feet of elevation, showcasing Iowa's diverse riding opportunities. Additionally, the route will feature a small gravel section, visits to covered bridges, and an optional century loop, with the final route subject to change until organizers ride it in June.
