Unexplained Preservation: Nun's Body Defies Decomposition in Kansas City

The Abbey of Our Lady of Ephesus in Kansas City is allowing visitors to see the almost perfectly preserved body of Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster, a nun who died four years ago. The nuns suspect that Sister Lancaster might be an "incorruptible," as her body has not decomposed entirely after death. If confirmed, she would be the first Black and American "incorruptible." The abbey plans to inquire about the possibility of canonizing Sister Lancaster as a saint in the future.
