Influential Atlanta pastor and author Dr. Charles Stanley dies at 90.

Dr. Charles Stanley, a nationally known faith leader and television pastor, passed away at the age of 90. He was the pastor emeritus of First Baptist Atlanta and had a worldwide audience through his television and radio broadcasts. Stanley served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention and was inducted into the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He authored over 70 books and was also known for his photography. Stanley is survived by his son, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and half-sister. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to In Touch Ministries.
