"Highlights from April 2024 LDS General Conference"

The 194th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began in Salt Lake City, where a new president of the Quorum of the Twelve, a new apostle, and new general authorities were sustained. President Jeffrey R. Holland was officially called as acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and Elder Patrick Kearon was ordained as a new member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. The conference also featured various sessions and speakers, with Church President Russell M. Nelson viewing the session from home.
