Senior prank involving cow goes awry in Chicago suburb

A senior prank at Northridge Preparatory School near Chicago went wrong when a cow brought to the school escaped and ran down a sidewalk. The cow was later captured by law enforcement and transferred to Hooved Animals Humane Society. The animals involved in the incident were purchased using Craigslist, including a pig bought near Dixon. The students involved were issued Village of Niles ordinance citations. The school apologized for the inconvenience caused by the incident and is conducting an internal investigation.
