A woman brought a wild raccoon into a Petco store in Maine to get its nails clipped, potentially exposing herself and others to rabies. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife reminded residents that it is illegal to possess wildlife in Maine and urged people to "keep wildlife wild." The raccoon tested negative for rabies, and those who came in contact with it do not need to seek treatment. Authorities are still looking for the woman who brought the animal to the store.
