Generous Oregon Driver Throws $200K in Cash to Bless Strangers

An Oregon driver, identified as Colin Davis McCarthy, threw an estimated $200,000 out of his car window on Tuesday, littering the roadside with $100 bills and causing drivers to stop and collect the notes. McCarthy claimed he wanted to "gift" the money. The Oregon State Police asked him to stop throwing money onto the roadway due to the traffic hazard it created, and no criminal charges were being considered against him. Drivers did a "thorough job of gathering the loose money," and the agency urged people not to go look for any money along the highway.
