Renowned Atlanta Pastor Charles Stanley Passes Away at 90

Charles Stanley, the founder of In Touch Ministries and a well-known preacher and evangelical broadcaster, has died at the age of 90. Stanley pastored at First Baptist Church in Atlanta for over 50 years and his sermons were broadcast in 180 nations and translated into 55 languages. He authored over 70 books and was a stalwart conservative in the Southern Baptist Convention. Stanley faced controversy in his personal life, including a public divorce and criticism for his stance against same-sex marriage. Memorial services will be private, but the public can pay their respects at First Baptist Church Atlanta on Saturday.
