"Iconic 9/11 Firefighter Bob Beckwith, Known for Photo with President Bush, Dies at 91"

Retired FDNY Firefighter Bob Beckwith, known for his bravery during the 9/11 attacks and for being photographed with President George W. Bush at the World Trade Center site, has passed away. Beckwith, who raced to the scene to help search for survivors despite being retired at the time, was remembered as an American icon and a man of class and dignity by former Rep. Peter King. The Uniformed Firefighters Association also honored him as one of the heroes of 9/11 who stood tall for America, New York City, and all New Yorkers.
