Fatal Pedestrian Collision on I-10 in Central Phoenix

Early Sunday morning, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 10 near downtown Phoenix, leading to a temporary closure of the highway. The incident occurred around 4:20 a.m. between 7th and 16th streets. The driver involved stayed at the scene, and the road was reopened after the investigation at around 8 a.m. This was the second pedestrian fatality on I-10 in Phoenix within hours, with another incident reported late Saturday night near Dysart Road in Avondale.
