"Unusual 4.0 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Florida's Space Coast"

A rare 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Florida, about 100 miles off Cape Canaveral, and was felt in coastal communities along the Atlantic Ocean. According to USGS seismologist Paul Earle, earthquakes in Florida are rare but not non-existent, and there is a fault that exists, although not much is known about it. While California has an early warning system for earthquakes, Florida may take a while to install such a system due to the infrequency of earthquakes in the state.
