Wildfire Forces Closure of I-70 in Eagle County, Colorado

The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 have reopened, but eastbound Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 6 are expected to remain closed overnight due to an actively burning wildfire near Wolcott, Colorado. The fire, known as the Eagle River Fire, has caused traffic disruptions, with detours in place and power outages expected in some areas.
