"Umatilla County Wildfire Prompts Evacuations, Gov. Kotek Invokes Conflagration Act"

Two fast-moving wildfires in Umatilla County, Oregon, have prompted evacuations and burned over 10,000 acres. Governor Tina Kotek has invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act to provide additional resources to fight the fires. The Oregon State Fire Marshal has mobilized six task forces and an incident management team to the area. One of the fires, the Mount Hebron Fire, is nearly contained, while the Hat Rock Fire continues to burn towards the Washington state line.
