Storm Causes Historic Flooding and Ski Resort Closures in Maine and New Hampshire

Heavy rainfall and snow melt in western Maine have caused historic flooding, leaving drivers stranded and in need of rescue. Reports of people being rescued from cars have come in from the Bethel area, including a tractor trailer truck stuck on West Bethel Road. The flood waters are so high that some residents are considering leaving their homes for safer accommodations. Emergency crews are assisting those affected, and the flooding is expected to peak in the early morning hours.
