Power Outage Strikes Franklin County, Kansas After Severe Thunderstorms

The entire city of Rantoul in Franklin County, Kansas, is without power following severe thunderstorms on Sunday. Mayor Lora Jean McDowell is clearing debris and checking on residents, while also working to get a generator for the town hall as a cooling center. The main concern is the lack of water due to electric pump failures, and many residents are worried about food spoilage. Damage was also reported in neighboring Ottawa, Kansas.
