Multiple brush fires ignite along major highways in Austin and Castaic, causing traffic disruptions

The Austin Fire Department is battling a brush fire near Interstate 35 and Woodward Street in south Austin, causing traffic delays on the southbound I-35 frontage road and Woodward Street. The fire is located in the northwest corner of the area and is expected to be extinguished soon.
