Michigan Hit by Devastating Storms: Massive Hail and Widespread Power Outages

Over 60,000 utility customers in Michigan, mostly on the southeast side, remain without power after a powerful thunderstorm brought strong winds, rain, and hail as big as tennis balls. DTE Energy expects to restore power to 80% of affected customers by the end of Friday. The storm caused widespread outages, with the highest number of outages reported in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties. Consumers Energy also reported some outages in other parts of Michigan.
