Around 850 people are still unaccounted for following the deadly wildfires that swept through Maui, Hawaii, with at least 114 confirmed deaths. The number of missing individuals was compiled by the FBI and Maui Police Department, and authorities have asked for DNA samples and lists of missing loved ones' names to aid in identification. Over 1,285 individuals have been found safe so far, but the recovery process is expected to be lengthy. The Maui County Mayor urged family members to contact authorities and provide DNA samples for any unaccounted relatives. The wildfires have destroyed thousands of structures, making search operations challenging.
