"Final Victim of Maui's Lahaina Wildfire Identified"

Hawaii officials have identified 70-year-old Lydia Coloma as the last of the 100 known victims of the deadly Lahaina wildfire that struck Maui last year. Eight members of Coloma’s family were also killed in the wildfires. The fast-moving wildfires, fueled by winds from Hurricane Dora, devastated the historic town of Lahaina and displaced hundreds of residents. The death toll from the wildfires reached at least 100, making it the deadliest wildfire in the US in over a century. Over 5,400 people remained displaced five months after the wildfire, and efforts are underway to address the housing issue. Three people are still classified as missing due to the wildfires, and officials are encouraging anyone with information to contact the police.
