Devastating Thunderstorms Ravage Hoover, Leaving Destruction in Their Wake

Severe thunderstorms caused significant damage to areas of Hoover, Alabama, with fallen trees and power lines blocking roads and damaging homes. The Hoover Fire Department, Hoover Police Department, and Hoover Public Works responded to numerous calls to clear the streets and assess damaged structures. Mayor Frank Brocato expressed gratitude to city employees and citizens for their assistance and urged people to avoid the area due to safety hazards. Cleanup efforts are expected to begin next week.
