"Blazing Inferno Engulfs Sandia Mountains in Fresh Wildfire Outbreak"

A new wildfire, named the 9 Mile Fire, has started in the Sandia Mountains in the Cibola National Forest. The fire, which has burned 0.10 acres of ground fuels, poses no threat to communities and no evacuations have been ordered. Fire crews from the Cibola National Forest and Bernalillo County Fire Department are on the scene, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Smoke may be visible within a 50-mile radius of the fire.
