Before and after satellite imagery shows Typhoon Mawar's impact on Guam.

Typhoon Mawar, with estimated sustained winds of 140 mph, caused widespread destruction in Guam, leaving one out of every five homes missing. The damage is so extensive that only satellite images can capture the enormous swath of destruction. At one point, 98% of Guam lost power during the typhoon. Despite the devastation, there were no deaths reported. Mawar spared the Philippines and is currently churning off of Taiwan.
