Oklahoma City Police Captain Caught Asking Officer to Turn Off Bodycam During DUI Arrest

Bodycam footage shows an Oklahoma City police captain identified as James “Matt” French requesting an officer to turn off his body camera during a DUI stop. The officer refused and French was subsequently arrested after failing a field sobriety test. French is on leave with pay as the department conducts a criminal investigation and a subsequent administrative investigation. The Oklahoma City Police Chief praised the arresting officer for handling the situation professionally.
