Tragic murder-suicide in New Bedford claims father and son.

A father and his 8-year-old son were found dead in their New Bedford home in an apparent murder-suicide. The father, George C. Scott III, is a person of interest in the disappearance of Lisa Hazard, who was last seen alive at the home in 2019. Scott appears to have killed his son with a sharp object before taking his own life. Detectives executed a search warrant on the home about two and a half weeks ago in connection with Hazard's disappearance.
