Search for Missing American Sailors Continues off Mexico Coast.

The Mexican Navy and the US Coast Guard are searching for two Girdwood residents, Frank and Kerry O’Brien, and their friend William Gross, who went missing while sailing their 44-foot La Fitte vessel from Mazatlán to San Diego. The group was supposed to stop in Cabo San Lucas on April 6 to refuel but never arrived. Urgent marine information broadcasts have been issued, but there has been no sign of them or the vessel yet. The O’Briens and Gross have 90 years of sailing experience between them, and the O’Briens both have their captain licenses.
