Tragic Deaths: Marines Succumb to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in North Carolina

Three U.S. Marines, identified as Lance Corporal Tanner J. Kaltenberg, Lance Corporal Merax C. Dockery, and Lance Corporal Ivan R. Garcia, were found dead in a parked car at a gas station near Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Autopsies revealed that they died from carbon monoxide poisoning. The Marines were motor vehicle operators with the Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, and 2nd Marine Logistics Group. The circumstances surrounding their deaths are still under investigation.
