Multiple Army Helicopter Crashes Claim Lives of Soldiers Across the US

The US Army has released the identities of the nine service members who died in a crash involving two Black Hawk helicopters during a training exercise in Kentucky. The soldiers ranged in age from 23 to 36 and were from seven states. The crash occurred during flying and not during the course of a medical evacuation drill. The Army has deployed a special investigative team to the scene to determine the cause of the accident. The Black Hawk helicopter is a critical workhorse for the US Army and is used in security, transport, medical evacuations, search and rescue and other missions.
