Mass Exodus: US Army Soldiers Return Home for Holiday Rest and Recharge

Thousands of US Army soldiers, after weeks of training at Fort Moore, traveled through Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport to go home for holiday block leave. This break allows soldiers to recharge, spend time with their families, and process their training. Over 38,000 soldiers from 21 Army bases will participate in holiday block leave nationwide. Army leaders emphasize the importance of the break for morale and readiness. Soldiers will resume training on January 4, 2024.
