Clergy Arrests Highlight MSP Protest Demanding ICE End Deportations

Dozens to roughly 100 faith leaders were arrested at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport during a protest urging ICE to end its arrests in Minnesota. Organizers say about 2,000 people have been deported through MSP. The Metropolitan Airports Commission said it cannot legally restrict access and that the protest exceeded the permit cap. Airport police issued misdemeanor citations for trespassing and disobeying officers to those arrested, including clergy member Rev. Mariah Tollgaard, who framed the action as a religious duty. The march also noted that 12 airport workers were reportedly arrested by ICE.
