"Violence Prompts Miami Beach to Impose Spring Break Curfew"

The City of Miami Beach has declared a state of emergency and imposed an 11:59 p.m. curfew due to fatal shootings and "excessively large and unruly crowds" during Spring Break. The curfew will be in effect until 6 a.m. and will cover an area bounded by 23rd Street and Dade Boulevard to the north, Government Cut to the south, Biscayne Bay to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Commercial businesses have been instructed to ensure patrons can leave by curfew, while hotels can continue normal operations for guests. Restaurants and non-hotel businesses can only take delivery orders past curfew.
