Tragic Loss: Mother Drowns Saving Son at Franconia Falls

A Massachusetts mother drowned while trying to save her son at Franconia Falls in Lincoln, New Hampshire. The family was swimming when one of the children fell into a pool and was swept away by the fast current. The mother jumped in to help but also struggled with the current. The other children jumped in to assist, managing to rescue their brother but one of them got stuck between boulders. The father performed CPR on the mother but she couldn't be revived. Two victims were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
