Rampant Car Thefts and Break-ins Plague Reading, Residents Urged to Stay Alert

The Reading Police Department is investigating a series of stolen cars, break-ins, and thefts that occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday. At least three vehicles were taken from different streets in town, and nine residents reported their cars being broken into. Police are urging residents to stay vigilant by keeping their car doors locked, closing windows and sunroofs, and not leaving valuables inside their vehicles.
