Police standoff in Roanoke's Riverdale area affects school bus routes and community.

Roanoke police are in a standoff with a man wanted on several felony warrants in the 1600 block of 16th Street SE. The man has refused to come out of the residence, and police are negotiating with him. Tactical response is on the scene to assist, and there is no danger to the public at this time. Traffic restrictions are in place, and Roanoke City Schools has advised families to pick up their students from school due to bus route disruptions.
