Northeast Side Homeowner Hospitalized After Attempting to Extinguish Fire

A homeowner in the Northeast Side of San Antonio suffered burn injuries while trying to put out a fire that started in the backyard and spread to the first and second floors of the house. The San Antonio Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire, which was reported by a passerby. The homeowner was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Neighbors reported hearing a small explosion, but this has not been confirmed.
