Lightning strike ignites fire, displaces Northeast Side family

A Northeast Side family in San Antonio has been displaced after their home caught fire when lightning struck a transformer behind their house, causing the roof to burn off. No injuries were reported, and multiple fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. The home is believed to be a total loss.
