Freetown Man Accused of Repeatedly Dumping Screws on Busy Roadway.

A Freetown man, Peter Vasconcellos, has been arrested for intentionally placing screws along a busy road in town, causing damage to dozens of tires. Highway workers have been cleaning up hundreds of screws for three weeks, and each time they come back, they find more. Vasconcellos is charged with operating a vehicle after license revoked, operating a vehicle with revoked registration, and uninsured operation. Police found screws identical to those recovered from the road in his car.
