Duval County School Board in Turmoil Over Resignation and Investigation Rumors

Rumors have surfaced that Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Diana Greene may resign or retire early amid an ongoing investigation at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and a recent letter from the state saying DCPS failed to report 50 cases to the state’s Office of Professional Practices Services going back several years. However, Greene has stated that she plans to continue as superintendent and fight for the students. The School Board is discussing hiring a third-party law firm to deal with the Douglas Anderson situation. Over 100 supporters of Greene gathered Monday outside the Duval County Public Schools offices, asking board members to keep Greene on as superintendent.
