In an attempt to evade police, a driver injured nine people on a Manhattan sidewalk near Times Square. The incident occurred after 2 a.m. on West 34th Street, close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. The 44-year-old male driver was apprehended after hitting several cars and people, and crashing into a restaurant awning. All victims, including at least one officer, were hospitalized with minor injuries, while a woman hit by a food truck is in stable condition. The driver was also hospitalized and is in stable condition.
