Ex-Dallas Star Mike Ribeiro's Sexual Assault Trial Ends in Deadlock

Former Dallas Stars center Mike Ribeiro was acquitted of two counts of sexual assault but faced a mistrial on a third charge of attempted sexual assault after a jury in East Texas was deadlocked. The accusations stemmed from alleged attacks at a lake in 2021, and Ribeiro's attorney declined to comment while it remains unclear if he will be retried on the third charge. Ribeiro played for the Stars for six seasons and also had stints with other NHL teams before retiring in 2017.
