Chesterfield couple testifies in deadly New Zealand volcano trial

A Chesterfield County couple, Lauren and Matt Urey, have returned to New Zealand to testify in the trial of three tourism companies charged with safety breaches over a deadly volcano eruption on White Island in 2019. The couple, among 47 people on the island, recounted their harrowing experience of running for their lives during the eruption. They expressed concerns about the lack of warning and stated that they would not have taken the tour if they had known the alert level. The defendants, including the island's owners and tour operators, have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
