Wedding Night Tragedy Sparks Wrongful Death Suit and Vigil for Bride Killed by Drunk Driver

The groom involved in a fatal DUI crash on his wedding night has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the accused driver and several Lowcountry restaurants and bars. The lawsuit alleges that the driver had a "booze-filled day of bar hopping" and the establishments she visited had an obligation to "exercise due care" in serving alcoholic beverages. The toxicology report from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division states that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 0.261% when she was tested after the crash. The lawsuit was also filed by the other two injured in the crash.
