Legal Battle Over Trump's Immunity Reaches Supreme Court

Former President Donald Trump's legal team has filed a motion requesting a pause in the proceedings against him in the Jan. 6 case while his appeal is pending. Special Counsel Jack Smith has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to expedite the review of Trump's appeal to prevent trial delays. The court has ordered Trump's lawyers to respond by Dec. 20.
